Interviewing Jarrett

interviewing Jarett, I got to know him a lot better. I didn't even know he skateboarded and that was a big part of his life. Finding B-roll was little more difficult than I would've liked. I didn't get any pictures of him I could use because they were taken in portrait on an iPhone. I had to search google to find the pictures and the video that I found. It wasn't extremely difficult to find the B roll, but it was more difficult than I wanted. Editing as a whole was pretty easy. Jarett has a clear voice and it was extremely easy to cut up.

Filming the Interview

Filming the interview, I got a good feel for the new lenses. I hadn't filmed an interview in a while so it nice to film and get back into things before I film a news story. Picking a good spot to film that I could really focus on the interviewee but not get to overwhelming with was key to this first interview. Now that I did this interview, I feel I can film interviews more comfortably. Being able to establish a general idea of what to do with the new lenses also encourages me to use the new glass more and more.

Being Interviewed

Being interviewed, I was very comfortable. I had a very easy answering the questions. I tried to answer in clear and complete sentences so it was easy to edit and a one take thing. Egan was very easy to talk to because I'm close friends with him. I also sent him B roll videos to make the editing process much easier for him. Being able to make the interview easier for him made the whole process much quicker. I also happened to be dressed pretty formally because I had a game on the same day.
